Service Manager

Key Responsibilities: 1. Service Operations Management: o Plan and oversee after-sales service activities, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs. o Develop and implement service strategies to improve response time and customer satisfaction. o Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service requests. 2. Team Leadership & Development: o Recruit, train, and supervise service engineers and technicians. o Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct regular team meetings. o Provide technical guidance and support to the service team. 3. Customer Support & Relationship Management: o Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring prompt service delivery. o Conduct site visits and technical discussions to address customer concerns. o Offer training and demonstrations on equipment usage and maintenance. 4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: o Diagnose and resolve technical issues in capital equipment. o Coordinate with the R&D and manufacturing teams for product improvements. o Recommend preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts management. 5. Warranty & AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) Management: o Handle warranty claims and coordinate repairs or replacements. o Develop and promote AMC packages to enhance service revenue. o Monitor AMC contracts and ensure timely service visits. 6. Service Reporting & Process Improvement: o Maintain service logs, reports, and customer feedback records. o analyses service trends and suggest improvements in product quality and support. o Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field. • Experience: 7-12 years in capital equipment service, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. • Technical Skills: o Hands-on experience with capital equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. o Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in industrial machinery. • Soft Skills: o Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. o Effective communication and customer relationship management. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in servicing road construction machinery, asphalt plants, or heavy engineering equipment. • Knowledge of CRM/service management software. • Familiarity with spare parts management and procurement.
