Job Description:

As a Senior QC Engineer, you will:

• Expertly handle various measuring instruments including Vernier caliper, Height gauge (TRIMOS), Micrometer, Radius Gauge, Go-No Go Gauge, Thread Gauge, Slip Gauges, Profile projector, and Hardness Tester.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Define and implement measurement strategies.
• Conduct stage inspections of machined parts as per drawings and provide first piece approvals.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of products and related documentation.
• Analyze and control rejection processes.
• Prepare daily rejection reports and quality performance reports.
• Conduct rework and rejection (Yellow/Red bin) analysis on the shop floor and initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Perform in-process manufacturing and online inspections of products.
• Conduct 100% visual inspections.
• Perform root cause analysis using tools like 7QC Tools, 8D, Why-Why Analysis, and coordinate with the production team.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with the production team to generate quality alerts on the shop floor in response to customer complaints.
• Report to senior management.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Operate CNC/VMC machines efficiently.
• Provide training to operators.

Skills Required:

• Diploma/BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering/CAD-CAM.
• Proficiency in handling and operating various measuring instruments.
• In-depth knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong analytical skills for rejection analysis and root cause identification.
• Proficient in preparing reports and documentation.
• Experience in conducting stage inspections and online inspections.
• Ability to implement and follow through on corrective and preventive actions.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of CMM machine operation.
• Familiarity with operating CNC/VMC machines.
