Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, vendor relations, and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the company’s objectives.
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
    • Forecast procurement needs and ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with quality standards.
    • Conduct regular market research to stay informed about market trends and changes.
  • Cost Management:
    • Monitor and control procurement budgets.
    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
    • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reductions.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials while minimizing excess stock.
    • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to align inventory with production schedules.
    • Implement inventory control systems to manage stock levels efficiently.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Manage supplier audits and compliance assessments.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement team.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of  3 to 5  years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes and achieving cost savings.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) is a plus.
